ARGH! Busses!
Oct. 6th, 2004 09:06 amThe blundering bastard did it again! He announced last stop on the keys and we walked up and protested. Out of the four women standing there, three had either talked to an inspector or rang Dublin Bus the previous day. He refused to give the number for Coningham Road Garage, claiming that he didn't know it offhand, he refused to call an inspector, claiming that he wasn't cooperating because we were not cooperating. He continued on to Pierce street under duress, even though he had to go there anyway. When we got off, four of us went straight up to the inspector standing there and complained for all the damned good it will do. Apparently, we will be getting calls from the Garage Manager this morning. I sense another round of apologizing, but nothing being done about it. Put in another call to Dublin Bus complaints department, as will the other 3 women (Ain't it handy to have a direct number and to be able to hand it out to concerned citizens...?)
I don't care if it's some sort of bloody protest ... I just wanna get off the bus on a road where it says I can get off the bus. The literature, the inspectors and Dublin bus say that there is a sanctioned set down stop there ... Only the driver disagrees!
Phooey! Anyway, to make myself feel better, I had a nice hot chocolate from Butlers (Sincerely, if you want great hot chocolate, go there! - Ya get a free bar of chocolate as well!)
