Hmm ... What a weekend

Friday, I was sitting on the bus, minding my own business (reading and listening to music) when a guy decided that the pickup technique that would work best on me would be flashing me! He wasn't a complete stranger but I hadn't had a conversation with him before, just passed him on the way into/out of the place where I have lunch every day. Anyway, he got off the bus at the next stop and left me with his number! Needless to say, I spent the next 20 minutes laughing about it (okay, in fairness - I spent the next couple of days laughing about it).

Saturday, I finished watching the first season of House MD. I enjoy the sarcastic wit of the show and if you find yourself having a few hours spare, I'd suggest watching it. It's not half bad. Came down with the beginnings of a stomach bug on Saturday afternoon but valiantly went to gingereejit's birthday party. Him being all old now, I decided to taunt him with presents wrapped lovingly (and completely) in sellotape. (Yes there was paper underneath but then there were two layers in Sellotape over the paper). What? It's my way of saying how much I care!

Sunday, I didn't do much. Was feeling rotten again from the nasty stomach bug (which I shall call Marsha) and no, it wasn't from the alcohol cause I didn't drink that much the night before. Although, Robert Ludlum's Hades Factor on Sunday nights is rather interesting. Give it a shot if you happen to be about.

Monday, I was off work sick with Marsha! And was nicely, quietly resting when I got a visitor at the door. Jehovah's witnesses asking about my religion and my relationship with the bible. I have a nice relationship with the bible. I think it's a book and it acts all booklike towards me. But damn my polite streak... I couldn't bring myself to slam the door on them. So we discussed my lack of belief in an afterlife, the catholic church, current hypocracy and how the world would be a nicer place if we could all just get along!

So now... I'm here and in work and still sick. I wanna take Marsha home and wring her neck while drowning her in two inches of water. But she seems more persistant than that... And may possibly be leading me to delusions. Hmm... Maybe fast food will kill her! Or at least make her worse and I can go home early!

2 inches isn't enough. A whole bathtub would be better-hot(but not too hot) water, bath salts or a Lush Bath Bomb, a few candles maybe, and a good magazine or book. Keep meaning to do it more myself but either don't have the time or don't think of it when i do.

Hope the stomach gets better. Or that you can go home

Given the fact that our hot tap works at a rate of half a bathtub per hour (or 0.5 bph), I'm afraid that a nice warm bath is out of the question until the weekend (when I go home and get pampered by my mammy - provided that I'm still sick! Marsha, please don't last until then!)
