*grin* I love it when...
Sep. 6th, 2006 12:22 pmI absolutely love the look on people's faces when they realise that they got everything that they wanted but that in getting everything they wanted it means that they have a hell of a lot of work still to do. Handed over the User Manual for the system I've been working on for the past couple of months and did some training. And about 30 minutes into the training, they realised that they would have to put all the information into the system if they wanted the queries to work. I can't help with this really cause it's not in any sort of file that can be imported into the new system database.
But a user manual that is 33 pages long and really simple to read is done, barring the sections that don't work yet due to no fault of mine (hate those dependancies on other systems), the system is done. Maintainance contract is in place. Users are now trained enough to start testing (functional and bug testing being done in tandem!). All test data has been removed. Rest of the day is pretty much mine to do what I want cause it will be tomorrow at least before the first bugs get reported.
Now if only I had emailed myself the bloody scenario I could have been working on that instead... *sigh*
