Countrycide Thoughts
Nov. 22nd, 2006 09:22 pmRight, so I'm a wee bit shocked at the overtness of the sexual overtones of the series, from the weirdass sex demon to the inability to keep their hands off each other while they are being hunted. And it's not even the gorgeous Cpt. Jack that's doing the flirting... It's the lowlife who thinks it's okay to use a mindaltering chemical on a couple to get them into bed. *sigh* And the old line of "He doesn't understand and I can't tell him" is just way too hackneyed.
Couple that with Gwen's wonderful idea of keeping her gun in the back pocket of her jeans with more than 50% of it hanging out. It's probably a good thing she hasn't sat down yet. And speaking of stupidity... Tosh is really getting on my nerves. If someone comes in claiming to be neutral but is waving a gun around, I'm going to assume that they aren't on my side. Maybe you should do the same.
But that said, I do love the whole concept of them not always chasing aliens, but rather being subjected to the everyday monsters that can be found around.
And I do love the way Cpt. Jack is turning out. He's had the problems of leadership. He's had the tough choices. He's had the blaze of glory moments. And his hair is still perfect!
