From the previews, I never realised it was Catherine Tate in the Christmas Episode but now that I'm watching it, I remember why I don't watch her comedy skit show. I'm just expecting her to come out with one of her character catchphrases. And she's a bit over the top when it comes to acting, although I did like her entry to the reception. If everyone is shouting at you after you get abducted from your wedding, turn on the waterworks!

All in all, it's coming off a bit more comedy than Doctor Who should be in my opinion. Aaaaand *shiver* I've just seen the huge spider woman thingy. Why is it always spiders... Ah well, back to the watching...

Yeah, but we were just re-watching the Robots of Death from 1977, and it is so funny, you wouldn't believe it!

Don't get me wrong, there is always a certain comedic element, but when you keep expecting the sidekick to launch into a bad comedy routine... It's a bit too mainstream comedic. Maybe that's what I'm looking for?

Some of the old stuff was great, funny in that way that only old sci-fi can be, but some of the new stuff is just bad comedy that you'd see at a bad comedy show. And I don't think the 45-60 minute format works for all the stories. Give me the multipart adventures anyday...

You didn't happen to record it by any chance? Was at the hospital & forgot all about it. Happy Christmas

This has nothing to do with your post, but I finally watched Equilibrum. I believe that is a movie you were very into unless I'm thinking of the wrong person. It was good times. Although, I watched V for Vendetta the night before and I found it more powerful. They are similar-ish movies so it is hard not to compare the two. Nevertheless, there was much hotness in, well, both actually. Make sure you see V for Vendetta if you haven't. Totally awesome.
