Blurbs...

I actually enjoy writing scenarios for cons, but I absolutely detest writing blurbs. How on Earth do you make your scenario sound interesting to people who a) don't know you, and b) are looking for a game to play at a con? With Cyberpunk I generally go with a first person comment about the setting, or the upcoming mission from the scenario, but I'm never happy with them.

So, I decided that for confess I'm writing an angels vs demons scenario (system will be a modified Vampire: the Requiem system - renamed disciplines mainly - 1 table angels, 1 tables demons and the actions of the characters on one table effect the actions of the other). Hardly a new concept given the Triway event in Warpcon but quite complicated for me, seeing as it's my first time writing/running something like that.

Anyway, when talking to the sligo guys over the weekend, they seemed to like the idea - "Sounds great, send in a blurb and we'll put it up" - but it does leave me in the position that I have to write the damned blurb.

*sigh*

Now from atop this mortal coil,
a not quite mortal slipped.
Straight into Hell's domain he fell,
just as his fate decreed.
As Heaven cried and wept divine,
the demons did not know.
Until fair wing crossed devil's bounds
and was there for all to see.
A cry went up and bat like grace
now follows Heaven fair.
Divine, Infernal, now chase
for not quite mortal's fate.

Thanks honey. It's strange the things that go through your head when going to work and trying to write a damned blurb.

How are you?

I like it, and I hate poetry, ha!

As Rayvanna says, it does have good imagery. I can picture the angel falling.

And on a different subject since I've been missing you online, the whole six hour time difference bit, don't forget to tag me here: http://grumpygwen.livejournal.com/11945.html

Have a rocking day!

*grin* I never write poetry. But well... it just came out.

And I'm off over there to make a post! Promise!
