So overwhelmed!

At about 3.30 today I got a call from one of the people I work for, the person that I've tried to set up a meeting with for the last four days asking me to come down to her office I expected that it was about the handover, or else yet another thing that has to be added in the negative amount of time that I have free before the end of my contract. Instead it was a tea party. Where I work, they always throw a tea party for the person leaving but whether it's a large affair (completely embarrassing) or a small affair (much less embarrassing) is up to the people organising it. They had a card that had been passed around and signed by everyone and tea and cake and biscuits and crisps... I was dead surprised!

And tomorrow they're taking me out for lunch! To my choice of place. So I get free chinese tomorrow! I am fantastically surprised but well pleased. Mainly because I enjoyed my time there. So now, I'm trying to set up references - I can finally get references because it's not against company policy!
