what would you do to defend your friends?

Peaches: Don't really have friends that aren't family. For family, especially my brothers, I'd do anything. Taking over the bounties is pretty standard and making sure they get home even if they're injured is a major part of it.

Sadie: Turn down a chance to rule the world. What? If that bear hadn't come along... Queen of the world! Bloody friendship!

Somre: There are no friends, there is only the team! For the team, I'd do whatever I was asked. Life. Death. Doesn't matter as long as the team survives.

Kellen: Anything that didn't cost me a body part. They need backup, they need a good shot, they need a pickup or a place to crash - no problem. Besides, if I do this, they'll owe me one!

Joanne Gallaway: Friends? Hah! Got drummed out of Earthforce. People who do that generally find themselves friendless. Course, I do got my gang. Good kids. I'd definately go to bat for them, but... they ain't my friends.

Becky Sharp: Friends are an illusion, dear. There are those who let your use them and those who don't. I have encountered both in my day but eventually everyone turns from you. By being smart, you can convince people that you are their best friend while picking their pockets. The only constant in life is yourself. Never do anything to endanger that self.

Anne: I don't have any friends. Not anymore. Not since I entered that house. He stole them from me. He's watching me. Even now. Can't afford friends. Keeping them away is perhaps the best thing for them.

Lex: It's a very rare person that I call friend, but once you're in, there is nothing that I wouldn't do to keep them safe or try. Money, guns, extraction teams. You ask for it, it's yours. Incidentally, if you happen to fall off it - you're off it for life!

Denna: Depends what they were willing to do for me in return.

Richard: My sword and my steed. It's all I have but it's theirs for the asking.

Jack: Most of my friends can defend themselves, but if they need a hand and I'm not on a mission, they can always ask. I may not be in a position to help, but maybe I know someone who can.

Kaevan: Friends? Are those like clients?

Peaches: I want a nice patch of sunshine, someone to skritch behind my ears and curl up with and a bit of adventure. Maybe a couple of kittens. Oh... and a proper damned name!

Sadie: Could have been queen of the world but no, had to give that up. I want somewhere safe to live that I won't be drummed out of if my secret comes out.

Somre: Want? I don't understand. For me, nothing. For the family, safety.

Kellen: The latest gun. The fastest car. Enough money to embarrass a small country and someone warm in my bed! I've been called a simple man before. They may have been maimed for saying that, but doesn't mean that they aren't right!

Joanne: I want my damned life back. I want my job back. I want my dad to talk to me again. That's what I want!

Becky: Why, darling, I want everything!

Anne: *screaming* I want him to leave me alone. Leave my family alone. Stop following me. You killed my sister. You've sent me to hell! Isn't that enough?!

Lex: Enough money to buy Night City lock, stock and smoking barrel! What? Not blunt enough for you?

Denna: The complete irradication of all men! And I know how to do it too!

Richard: To stop meeting people in bars who tell me that they have a mission that they think I'd be perfect for. I'd like to settle down, open a tavern and marry [lauren's character].

Jack: To be good at my job. To keep my crew safe. To serve to Corp well. That's all there is really.

Kaevan: Want? Um... What do you want me to want? I already have a comfy place to sleep and food to eat.

What would you consider your greatest triumph and your greatest failure?

Would you do anything differently if you had your life over again?

Peaches: Greatest Triumph? Apart from bedding the engineer? *cheeky grin* Well... A bounty, about two years ago. He was twisty as a whole nest of spiders and twist as bad temptered. He'd gotten me pinned down, fighting just as good as I was. Cut me up something terrible but I got him in the end. Dragged him into the sherriff's office and got reamed out of it for bleeding on the floor.

Greatest failure was the last hunt, though. Lost my ship. Wiped out completely. You wouldn't believe the telling off I had to put up over that one. Never lost a ship before. Not completely. Usually there's enough to piece it back together.

What would I do differently? Not get on board this damned ship! That would definately make my life a hell of a lot easier. Why the hell didn't I keep going, grab the next one?

Sadie: I'm thinking that the 54 years that I kept my secret are a fairly good triumph. No one had a clue. I had it good. Could read and write and everything was good.

Gave up the damned world, didn't I? For friendship. Says dismal things about my character. Not supposed to do things like that. Supposed to be evil. My mum would turn over in her bed - I'd say grave, but we'll she's not that sort of dead yet.

Hmm... What would I have done differently? Would have killed off those pesky kids earlier. We could have finished them, ambushed them or something long before the final showdown.

Kellen: I'm going to say that my greatest triumph is not letting the love of my pathetic life slip through my fingers. Even if I didn't know he was when I first met... Or second met. But I held on this time. Best decision of my life.

Greatest failure. *sighs* It's my brother. I shouldn't have let the divide get this big. Shouldn't have let it get this far. I should have made it up, or else ended it cleanly. But should have done something.

I'd run with him. I wouldn't have stayed behind. Maybe then we could have been proper brothers.
