I'm in real danger of getting my Cork accent back. Sitting beside a guy from West Cork and oh wow! The phrases he comes up with remind me of my late Grandaunt and there are times when I can't help but spend half the day laughing away at him.

Although currently, it hurts to laugh! Bloody sore throat! I seem to have come down with a damned cold. Not happy. Thinking early night, panadol and tea.

You're from Cork? I spent a year in Cork - at UCC and then bar tending in this tiny village on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork. Hence the icon ;)

Nope, not from Cork, just spent a large portion of my formative years there - given that my Mum is from there. But I have the ability to slip in and out of my Cork accent if I get a whiff of southern air. And of course, the drunker I get, the more Corkonian I get ;)
