A weekends reflections
Sep. 20th, 2004 08:44 amWell that was definately a fun weekend. Spent Saturday writing and working on the next piece of HateSong. It's working out quite well in my opinion, mainly thanks to a bit of judicious pruning by
alarielle a couple of weeks ago. Problem with this bit is that it's a bit dialog heavy but it kinda has to be.
Watched Copycat again over the weekend. Nice film about sociopaths, serial killers and fear. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but its worth a watch anyway. Apart from that I rearranged my stuff at home and found myself amazed yet again by sky digital remotes. You don't even have to point them at the box, they just work. It's all very strange! So many episodes of The District, JAG, NCIS, Charmed and CSI (Miami and Las Vegas) passed uneventfully.
Yes I do know I am rambling.
Anyway, yesterday Kult happened and I had so much fun :) Anne (my character) got slightly shocked by the body of her (friend is too strong a word...) teammate in many different pieces and started screaming. When she finally stopped screaming, her sociopathic tendancies kicked in. It seemed to be a bit disconcerting that after she stopped screaming, she apologized and offered everyone breakfast. Unfortunately she couldn't get the fire started and went to collect the dead teammate and bury him. No this is not strange, it turned out that he may not have been dead, well, as dead as we expected him to be. He seemed a little shocked at the thought of being buried. *grin* Ah well, he didn't have much to say in the matter. On the whole, I had great fun! Oh and as a side note, I killed (almost) another character. The 5 ft 2 girl with unarmed combat of 9, tiny, took down the two hardest members of the group with ease. (I'm putting it down to the adrenalin and the singleminded persual of a single goal.)
And incidentally, the students union is now looking like a fancy barn! Bah!

Date: 2004-09-20 07:38 am (UTC)I'm good for Fridays - finish at five (or will assuming I get all the modules I want). Have just sent J.O'Kelly an email asking about a fourth year project too. (See me be orgainized! ^_^)
Back in college isn't so bad - 16 hours of timetabled lectures - not all of which I've to do. And tribbles have not abandoned me! =) Managed a HP one earlier...
I go to last lecture now.
