Letter to Derlyth

Derlyth,
May I open this letter with heartfelt apologies for the actions of my colleagues. They were disrespectful to both you, personally and as a representative to the Metahuman Nations. I can only offer my word that I have spoken to them on this matter and they are aware of the disrespect that they were party to. I would suggest however, that any requests for audiences in the future be directed through myself so that we may avoid unpleasantness in the future.
With reference to the subject of the meeting, I must address it thusly as I was unable to properly address your points due to the issues of misbehaviour. As I said before, we were hired to be representatives for Arasaka with the purpose of setting up a meeting between the management of the Night City branch and the Mayors office. Our part in the negotiations is almost at a close and the matter handed back to Arasaka as soon as possible. Believe me, none of us like working as Arasaka's puppets but in the environment we find ourselves in, any job offered must be considered on its merits, both financially and morally. While Arasaka may be unpalletable, the financial aspect may be rewarding.
I must also take this opportunity to add a personal note to yourself and to the Metahumans in general. Our last meeting was the first time that I have been in any position which could be interpreted as a side counter to that which the Metahuman Nation is on. I have heard high stories and tall tales about the night of Ascention but, as any inquiries on the street will tell you, words and whispers are not facts, and I do not decide on action on words and whispers alone. The only reason that made me take that course of action was the fact that a member of my team, the next thing to my family cried out for aid. Would you not do anything in your power to help one of your troops? I am still not sure of the lead up to the whole debacle but hopefully we can treat this as an isolated matter. If it would please you, and the Metahuman Nation, I can vow not to step foot on Metahuman soil without first being invited.
On a slightly different personal note, I am still not sure what happened during the altercation at the Chapterhouse but I feel it safe to say that matters escalated out of control rather quickly. Perhaps the dialog that we were waiting to have could have solved the problem, but unfortunately you were indisposed at that moment, according to the elf that we were speaking to.
Again, I feel that I must apologize for the actions of my team, but also add in my own apologies for how things turned out. I never wanted matters to progress this far and had hoped to deal with the situation much sooner before such a standoff was necessary.
While once you were Rom, you have changed and are no longer that person who lived in our living room and livened up our days with your never ending competition with Keyz. I have come to terms with this and now freely use your new chosen name, never referring to the name you disgarded when you 'became'. Change is perhaps the most difficult thing to accept. I have no doubts that after time, Razz and Vogue will come to terms with your change and learn to accept it as I have.

The first paragraph is getting him onside and giving him a nice false sense of friendship hopefully, while ensuring that from now on, I will control the situation.
Second paragraph - We were hired by Arasaka to set up the meeting. Note the omission that we were the ones who brought it to their attention. Our part of the negotiations is almost at a close. All we have to do is stop the killer. We have gotten paid by Arasaka for this in the form of weaponry. We don't like working with them but we have to for the forseeable.
Paragraph three - I have only heard about the Ascention, it hasn't even made the streets and while I trust the people telling me, well, haven't seen it, so was not publically taking sides. See me be a team leader rather than a follower. One of my troops was in there and I'd be fucked before I leave one of them behind. Hopefully, next time we have to go to the chapterhouse, you won't attack us. I am not going near you little reality unless invited, but once there... who knows. You invite your own downfall.
Paragraph 4 - You brought the whole thing on yourself when you attacked Vogue. You should have just stayed civil, it would have been so much easier.
Paragraph 5 - I hoped to deal with this situation much sooner and before Metahumanity turned into a bad thing. I had hoped to kill you all before this, but oh well. I know who you are, I know what you are, I won't miss again.
Paragraph 6 - You're not Rom anymore. You don't deserve that name. I fully accept that Rom is dead and you are merely inhabiting the body now. I will show no remorse in killing you.

*grin* This is more along the White Knights line. Yuro doesn't know that Lex understands the significance of the white, but Lex does and it's a calculated effort on her part, one that the group adopted.
