No longer screwing the country...

deannawolWell, with the minimum of tears (namely one), I left the place I've worked for the past 8 months. To be honest, I can't say that I'm sorry. I'll miss the people but I absolutely hate developing in .NET. Monday morning I start in Trocaire doing pure DBA work for the most part. I will be interesting to work in Maynooth, to walk 20 minutes to get to work instead of getting on a bus and trying to make all the connections.
I've also found out that I'm currently the "preferred candidate" for another, permanent job. I probably won't know for another week or two about that one so I'm keeping all fingers crossed and toes too. *grin*
But now, there will be enjoying of a long weekend and the redesign of my website... Yes, again. How can you tell if someone is a webdesigner? They keep changing their website and are never happy with it.
I also got hit with an idea for a story so gonna try to tease that out over the weekend and come up with a basic outline.
